4 Dressed Up Ponytails

When you’re on the go constantly, it’s easy to fall into a hair slump where you fall back on the same hairstyle day after day. In a pinch, try any of these dressed up ponytails that only take a few minutes to do but look like you actually had time to do your hair!

Side Part Pony

For this simple yet professional ponytail, part your hair on the side and gather your hair at the nape of your neck securing it with a hair tie. Take a section of hair from the bottom of the ponytail and wrap it around the base a few times and pin the end in with bobby pins. For an even sleeker effect, spray with hairspray and smooth it down with your hands and go over the ends with a flat iron. Fancy!

Inside Out Pony

For the inside out pony, gather your hair into a low, side ponytail and secure with a hair tie. Split the hair above the hair tie in half to create a hole and flip the ends of your hair out, up and through the hole, flipping toward your face. Tighten the ponytail and arrange hair so the hair tie is hidden and you’re ready to walk out the door!

Braided Pony

Grab three sections of hair midway between your forehead and crown and start a French braid by adding pieces from the sides to the middle section of a braid. Stop when you get to the nape of your neck and secure with a hair tie. For a fun, messy look pull at the pieces in your braid to make it texturized and unique.

Fishtail Pony

For this stylish look, pull your hair up into a super high ponytail and secure with a hair tie. Grab a section from your ponytail and create a fishtail braid (see tutorial here) securing the braid with a small elastic. Wrap the braid around the base and secure with bobby pins to create a unique, polished ‘do in no time!
