Jenelle Evans has seen her fair share of the legal system. In the premiere episode of season 7B, Jenelle sat in court to settle the assault and battery charge in the third degree.

The incident in questioned happened a year ago, and was not caught on MTV cameras. It was a spat between Jenelle and Jessica Henry, Nathan Griffith’s girlfriend. Both David Eason and Nathan Griffith supported their girlfriends in court.

Jessica refused to drop the charge against Jenelle and so the case went to trial. Under her lawyer’s questioning, Jenelle gave her account of the events.

“I was in the kitchen making some water, some ice water, and I looked out the window and Nathan pulled in my driveway, so I come outside. Jessica said something to me, I don’t even remember what she said cause it’s so long ago. But then she came out towards me, so then I took it as a threat, my son was upstairs sleeping.”

“I went to go throw water in her face—I did not mean for the cup to hit her at all,” she explained. Jenelle then demonstrated how she held the cup in a forward-facing position, indicating how it could slip out of her hand unintentionally hit Jessi in the head.

“And then once it landed in her lap, I turned around to walk—to run back inside, cause I felt like I was about to be attacked.” She then said that Jessi picked up the glass and threw it back at Jenelle, though it didn’t make contact with her.

Of course Nathan was no wallflower during this incident. “He was screaming, ‘You will not have your child back, I will make sure he gets taken from you forever, and you will never see him again.’ So I started panicking, so bad,” Jenelle tearfully explained.

It’s clear from the look on Jessi’s face that she thinks this is all a clever ploy to win the case.

Whether or not Jenelle’s tears were real, she ended up winning the case. Jenelle was found not guilty, and she looked relieved as she hugged her lawyer Amy.

Now that this situation is over, Jenelle will have more energy to focus on her budding custody battle with Nathan Griffith.

On the other hand, Jessica Henry seems to have a penchant for filing charges against Teen Mom 2accused Nathan Griffith of domestic violence stars. She recently , and it's just the latest in the long legal saga of these young parents.
