It’s a well-known Duggar tradition. First comes love, then comes marriage, and very soon after that, comes the baby carriage.
For example, Jill and Derick Dillard got married on June 21, 2014. They announced their pregnancy in late August. Jessa and Ben Seewald got married on November 1, 2014, and they had their first child just a few days after their first wedding anniversary.
So naturally everyone is expecting Jinger, the latest Duggar girl to be married off, to go the same way. She was married just earlier this month on November 5, and the two embarked on a honeymoon to Australia and New Zealand soon after.
They shared a video update of their travels with TLC, but almost everyone agreed that Jeremy looked completely miserable. In the minute-long video, he didn’t smile once, while Jinger clung to his arm and looked lovingly at him the entire time.
Fans are worried that if Jinger really has gotten pregnant already, this news may have upset Jeremy and caused his “upset” and “miserable” appearance in the video.
Jeremy is also a bit of a black sheep when it comes to the Duggar family’s traditional and conservative values. Though Jeremy is a Christian pastor, he used to play professional soccer, and so he’s seen quite a lot of the world compared to the sheltered Duggar children.
So fans are wondering if Jeremy has realized just how difficult it is to be in a relationship with someone who knows nothing beyond the belief system she was taught to live in her entire life.
It’s basically a family norm to get married and get pregnant quickly. After Jinger and Jeremy announced their engagement, Jill and Derick Dillard had already started looking ahead to more Duggar babies! “Derick’s bet is on Jinger!” Jill told Us Weekly. “We will just have to wait and see!”
With the family pressure and conservative upbringing, everyone is wondering if Jinger, thought of as the most rebellious Duggar girl, will follow the paths carved by the Duggar women before her.
