Next month Jana Duggar, the oldest of the Duggar girls, will be turning 27. She is not, by any means, old—but looking at the rest of her family, it sure looks like it!
While 23-year-old Jinger Vuolo just got married last month, everyone’s already expecting her to hop on the baby train any minute now. Even 19-year-old Joy-Anna has a leg up on Jana; she just started a courtship with Austin Forsyth.
As a member of the Duggar family, it’s unusual for Jana to be this old yet still single and living at home.
But although we haven’t seen any public courtships for Jana, that doesn’t mean she hasn’t had offers! She’s gorgeous, hardworking, and as sweet as can be—who wouldn’t want to try for her hand?
Classy as she is, Jana has never named any names, though there were rumors in 2015 that she turned down Zach Bates’ offer of courtship. Her name was also attached to Tim Tebow at one time—even though they’ve never met!
“There have been different guys who have come along and asked, but they haven’t been, I don’t know, the right one. It can be tempting, like, ‘Oh, I really want to be married.’ Because in those moments, your siblings that are married and have little ones are going on dates and doing their thing,” she said.
She also acknowledged how awkward this in-between stage is. “It’s like this weird in-between stage. I’m not a younger one, but I’m not an older, married one with kids.”
Duggar family fans have begun calling Jana the Cinderella Duggar, because her time at home is often to play the role of housekeeper and babysitter.
Though no one’s been able to put a ring on Jana’s finger, Michelle and Jim Bob are obviously keeping Jana’s wifely skills up to task by keeping her as a stay-at-home daughter!
