The Starlooks Starbox is a subscription beauty box that delivers 3 to 4 full-sized professional quality Starlooks brand makeup products each month for $15! The products, which are all cruelty-free, are picked by professionals based on trend forecasts and they come together to create a complete look. We were lucky enough to be sent the October Starbox to review.
As soon as I saw the box I was super pumped about the bow wrapped around it. I turned it into a headband immediately.
Inside the box I found three products packaged in cute white Starlooks boxes: “Puzzy” Tendergloss, “Mirage” Gem Pencil and “3B1” 3 Shadow Blush palette.
Before opening any of the products, I noticed a crystal hanging out in the box and got super excited. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it, but I knew I had to take pictures with it. Seriously, how cool is it to receive a box full of beauty products accompanied by a crystal?
First I started playing with the “3B1” blush palette. Here's what they look like on my arm:
I tried out the middle one because it seemed like the most natural shade for my skin tone. I liked the way it looked, especially for a daytime look. It was subtle and easy to apply.
After taking these photos, I decided to try out the darkest one on the far right to see how that would go and even though I'm not usually one for bold cheeks, it didn't seem too over the top. I think I could totally pull this one off on a night out. I love the diversity in the shades and the gorgeous packaging.
Next I pulled out the “Puzzy” Tendergloss, which looks like a pink lipstick but feels like a nice, moisturizing lip gloss. It has a sheer pigment and a nice, creamy texture that glides on smoothly. I really liked the way it feels on and the sheer color makes it super low maintenance. It definitely leaves the lips looking shiny with hints of light reflecting sparkle while maintaining nice, hydrated lips.
The “Mirage” Gem Pencil was my favorite product in this box. The silver eyeliner glided on so easily with tons of color. I love the creamy texture of the liner and that it comes in a pencil that can easily be sharpened. This will be perfect for holiday parties this season. It's just different enough to make an impact but anyone could pull it off!
This box is a $73 value that was packed full of products that will definitely be added to my regular makeup routine all for just $15. Another great thing about Starbox is you can look through past months' Starboxes and if they're not sold out, you can order them based on their contents for $25.
Visit the website here to sign up for the special edition December Starbox worth $99 before December 10 for $15/month + shipping! It contains the Starlooks 15 Shade Eye Shadow Palette and would make the perfect gift for beauty lovers (or a perfect addition to your Christmas wish list!).
