When Hungarian artist Gergely Dudás uploaded his festive illustration to his Facebook page he had no idea it would be liked by more than 42,000 people and shared over 100,000 times!
Dudás is infamous for posting his mind-bending “Where’s Waldo?” puzzles on his Facebook page for his 15,000 followers. In the spirit of Christmas, Dudás has recently uploaded a holiday illustration depicting hundreds of hand-drawn snowmen and ONE hidden panda.
The illustration—captioned, “There's a panda amongst them! Can you find it?”—has left people bewildered and frustrated as they struggle to find the elusive hidden panda amongst the many snowmen.
This holiday-themed “Where’s Waldo?” puzzle is blowing up on social media with some claiming they found the panda in five seconds or less and some who are unable to find it at all among all the snowmen and colorful scarves and hats drawn by Dudás.
Some commenters are even claiming that the puzzle is a trick--that there is no hidden panda.
Jon Beauvais writes, “I found a dragon, 2 slippers, a can of pop and no panda. Nice try!”
Gary Pearsall insists, “There ain't no panda in there!”
And Darren Fox writes, “Been looking for 15 mins still can't find it lol.”
But trust me on this, there IS a panda hidden in the puzzle.
Tricky Dudás made sure to include multiple red herrings in the illustration including candy canes, scarves and hats to draw your attention AWAY from where the lone panda hides.
According to Daily Mail, “More than 12,000 people have commented on the image in just six days, with hundreds sharing their frustration at not being able to find it.”
I was one of those who found the panda in five seconds…Can YOU spot the hidden panda?
(Hint: look for the character WITHOUT a carrot for a nose)
