For the first time since her relationship drama with Egor, LiLo allowed herself to be interviewed by the Daily Mail. By now the world has seen the evidence of Lindsay’s fights with Egor, and all the surrounding drama.
In the interview, Lindsay appears to be much more clearheaded. “I realize now you can’t stay in a relationship just for love. No woman can be hit and stay with that person if that person isn’t prepared to say sorry.”
The speculations of abuse are then confirmed by Lindsay herself, who says, “It’s not the first time. That’s the problem. But this time, someone saw.” She’s referring to the argument she and Egor had on their London balcony, which a neighbor filmed and released to The Sun.
“I didn’t call anyone, I’ve dealt with enough police in LA. I just left the house and went to the Connaught [Hotel] for the night. I contacted my good friend Hofit Golan who was in St. Tropez. She said, ‘Get on a plane, come and meet me.’ So I did. I needed some time for myself.”
Since she’s been living on the yacht with Hofit, Lindsay says she’s been filling her time with “meditating and swimming in the ocean and listening to George Michael’s song, ‘Faith.’ The lyrics are very apt.”
And Lindsay knows everything that’s in the press. She tells the Daily Mail that the rumors of her pregnancy are NOT true—and even blames her dad Michael Lohan for selling that story to the press. “He loves the attention. In the past he’s said I’ve done drugs; he put my number on the Internet. Who does that? Some of the stuff he’s done proves to me he doesn’t care about me.” She has since stopped contacting her father.
But one thing she can’t deny is the explosive fight with Egor on the Mykonos beach where Lindsay tosses his phone out of their Jeep. She says she only threw his phone after he had taken hers first. “Egor drank too much and he went crazy.”
The saddest part of all this is that Lindsay really envisioned a future with Egor. “The truth is, I wanted to make things work, but now I’m not sure that I can. I need closure. I genuinely fell in love with him but he broke my trust and made me feel unsafe.”
She can even remember exactly how long they’ve been together: “We’ve been together nine months, three weeks and two days, and we’ve lived together since the second night I met him. He proposed on September 27, 2015, but I waited months before saying anything publicly.”
“We planned to marry in Lake Como next May. We should both be in Italy looking at wedding venues right now. All I wanted was to get married and settle down. I’ve always wanted four kids and Egor and I talked about having a family.”
